Dos Monarcas XO Panama Aged Spice is a premium rum-based spirit from Panama, crafted from a carefully composed blend of selected, matured Panamanian rums. For the blend, different rums are selected according to vintage, age, distillation method and maturation, and then blended together. The distillates used have been matured for eight years. When blending, Dos Monarcas employs a special method inspired by whisky-making techniques, designed to bring together the different characteristics of the individual rums into a harmonious whole. Each batch is individually numbered and carefully monitored throughout the ageing and production process.


The selection of casks plays a key role in shaping the character of Dos Monarcas XO Aged Spice. The Panama Rum used as a base is stored in selected American and European oak casks that have previously been used to mature sherry for at least eight years. The influence of these casks imparts additional fruity, spicy and oaky notes to the resulting rum-based spirit. Dos Monarcas XO is presented in a 0.7-litre bottle, including a gift box, at 40 per cent ABV. The combination of eight-year-old Panama Rum, the influence of sherry casks, American and European oak, and numbered batches makes this bottling an interesting alternative for connoisseurs of complex, cask-influenced rum-based spirits.

Colour: Warm amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Fresh and balanced with sweet fruit and honey, accompanied by subtle oak notes.

Palate: Creamy and smooth with sweet fruit, warm spices and sugar cane, complemented by subtle sherry and oak notes.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and warming with fruity, spicy and subtle oak notes.

Dos Monarcas XO Panama Aged Spice is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at room temperature, allowing the fruity, spicy and cask-influenced components to come into their own. Alternatively, this rum-based spirit can be served over a large ice cube or as the base for high-quality, spirit-forward cocktails.
