Since its foundation in 1793, the Oban Distillery’s picturesque location and proximity to the harbour in the western Scottish Highlands have made it a magnet for new settlers. Oban, which means ‘little bay’ in Gaelic, has, despite initial challenges, developed into one of the most prestigious and efficient distilleries. With just two stills, Oban produces up to 700,000 litres of spirit annually, making it one of the smallest distilleries in the world – a testament to its excellence and tradition in whisky-making.

‘The Distillers’ Edition of the Classic Malts Selection’ comprises single malt whiskies from seven different distilleries across Scotland. All bottlings undergo additional maturation in a variety of casks, selected by the master distiller of each respective distillery.

The Distillers Edition from the Oban Distillery undergoes a second maturation in charred ex-Montilla Fino casks made of American white oak.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear amber.

Nose: Light salty notes, smoke, spices.

Palate: Creamy and mellow, with grapey notes, sea salt, subtle spice and white pepper.

Finish: Long-lasting, sweet and smoky, with oaky spice and peppery notes.
