Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is located on the edge of a large volcano called Pichincha.

This hill is part of the Andes Cordillera and allows for wonderful weather, balancing the hot equatorial winds and creating perfect breezes that can be enjoyed throughout the day.

On this mountain there is an area called "Cruzloma" that has witnessed many geographical changes and historical moments of Ecuador.

On the edge of the eastern side of the volcano, the bloody battle of Pichincha took place on 24 May 1822, which defined Ecuador's independence. This place is also known as "Cruz Loma" (mountain top cross).

In the municipality of La Mana in the Cotopaxi region, underground springs were discovered over 100 years ago, from which the volcanic spring water used originates.

The water from the underground springs has oligomineral properties, as it contains gold and silver, which are beneficial to the human body.
