The LAGG Single Malt Scotch Whisky CORRIECRAVIE Edition 55% vol. 0.7 l + GB is a characterful single malt from the Isle of Arran, produced by the young but already renowned Lagg Distillery. This special Lagg Corriecravie Edition is released only once a year in limited quantities and is one of the distillery’s most distinctive bottlings. The whisky is produced using Concerto barley malt and pure water from the distillery’s own borehole, resulting in an authentic Scottish island whisky. The style of Lagg Single Malt Whisky is characterised by a combination of smoky peaty notes, fruity nuances and a spicy depth that reflect its distinctive island character.


The maturation of this Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Islands begins in American oak bourbon casks, before the whisky is finished for around six months in Oloroso sherry hogsheads. These casks come directly from the Bodega Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain, and lend the whisky additional depth as well as complex fruity and spicy nuances. The Lagg Corriecravie Single Malt is bottled at a robust 55% ABV, without chill filtration and with no added colouring, thereby fully preserving the whisky’s natural character. The edition takes its name from the hamlet of Corriecravie, situated north-west of the village of Lagg, which has historical links to the early days of illegal whisky production on the Isle of Arran. Nearby is also Torr a’ Chaisteil Dun, an Iron Age fort known locally as Castle Hill, which lends the region further historical significance.

Colour: Warm gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Juicy red berries, dark chocolate and subtle smoky notes.

Palate: Full-bodied with flavours of charred embers, toasted hazelnuts, sweet spices and fruity nuances.

Finish: Long-lasting with smoke, hazelnut, dark chocolate and spicy accents.

Lagg Corriecravie Single Malt Scotch Whisky is ideal for drinking neat, to fully experience its complex blend of smoke, sherry cask aromas and fruity notes. This Islay-style island whisky pairs particularly well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or desserts featuring cocoa and caramel. This smoky single malt Scotch whisky also reveals its aromatic depth particularly impressively when paired with hearty meat dishes, game or mature cheeses. Thanks to its high alcohol content of 55% ABV, the whisky can also be opened up with just a few drops of water, bringing out additional fruity and spicy facets.
