The K+K Kirnbauer Winery, a long-established family business in the Blaufränkisch region, is dedicated to producing exquisite red wines from its 40-hectare vineyard. Here, where the sun shines 300 days a year, grapes from the finest Lager vineyards in Deutschkreutz thrive and are sorted three times before fermentation. The wines mature in selected barrique barrels, which enhance their characteristic flavour.

With a deep commitment to sustainability, the winery tends its vines, harvesting them by hand and without the use of herbicides or insecticides. This environmentally conscious philosophy is reflected in the vegan wines, which also underscore the winery’s sustainability certification.

K+K Kirnbauer KONQUEST is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes grown on red clay soil. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in barriques, the wine matures for 24 months in new American oak barrels. It was bottled in December 2022 and has a ageing potential of up to 10 years, sealed with a natural cork.

Tasting Note

Dark red in the glass. On the nose, notes of blackcurrants and nougat. On the palate, sweet and fruity with blackcurrant flavours and a juicy, creamy texture. A long-lasting finish.

Serving temperature: 17 °C

This wine pairs superbly with game, steak and fillet.
