Both molasses and sugarcane honey are used in the production of Diplomatico Selección de Familia, with the mash fermenting for one to two days using the distillery’s own yeast strain. Depending on the type of rum to be produced, distillation takes place in column stills, batch kettles or pot stills, thereby achieving the perfect flavour profile.

Diplomatico Selección de Familia is an exclusive blend developed specifically by Diplomatico’s master distillers. It is made from 90 per cent sugar cane honey and is aged in carefully selected ex-bourbon and sherry casks before bottling, which gives it its distinctive character and complex flavour profile.

This unique combination results in a rum that meets the highest standards, both in terms of its origin and its production method.
