El Padrino Tequila Añejo 100% Puro de Agave is a high-quality, traditionally produced tequila that impresses with its long ageing process and complex flavour profile. Made from 100% blue Weber agave, this tequila undergoes a meticulous production process that gives it its mild yet intense character.

The agave hearts are first roasted in stone ovens for 36 to 54 hours, allowing the natural sugars to develop fully and giving the tequila its characteristic sweet and slightly smoky note. This is followed by a slow fermentation lasting 48 to 60 hours, before the tequila is distilled in traditional copper stills. This method ensures a particularly rich flavour with subtle notes of caramel and oak.

After distillation, El Padrino Añejo is aged for 14 to 16 months in American oak casks, giving it additional depth and smoothness. The long barrel ageing gives it a balanced interplay of sweet agave, spicy oak and creamy caramel.

Colour: Deep gold with amber hues.

Nose: Aromas of toasted agave, vanilla, caramel and a hint of chocolate.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied with a perfect balance of sweet honey, spicy oak and subtle notes of cinnamon and cocoa.

Finish: Long-lasting with gentle toasted notes, a hint of smokiness and a subtle sweetness.

El Padrino Tequila Añejo is ideal for sipping neat in a cognac or tumbler glass to fully appreciate its complex flavours. It pairs superbly with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or a mild cigar.
