Produced in Jamaica, this rum is based on a blend of pot still distillates, which lends it both aromatic intensity and a smooth balance. It was initially matured for several years in the tropics in ex-bourbon casks, before undergoing an additional finish in selected Kentucky bourbon casks in France. This double-ageing process gives the rum a complex bouquet, in which the typical Jamaican ester notes blend with vanilla, caramel and a subtle woody spice.
