Description
Description
Douglas Laing has updated the name of its well-known Island Blended Malt bottling from ‘Rock Oyster’ to ‘Rock Island’, without altering the award-winning contents. Rock Island blends selected single malts from the Scottish islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, giving it distinctive smoky notes, sweetness and maritime aromas. As part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, Rock Island symbolises the diversity and quality of Scotland’s malt whisky regions.
The special edition Rock Island 14 Years Old Sherry Edition enriches the flavour profile with the nuances resulting from maturation in sherry casks. This maturation method gives the whisky a rich and robust character, combining the island whiskies with the complexity and depth of the sherry casks, thus making it a special addition to any whisky collection.
This edition is characterised by its naturalness, as it contains no added colourings and is not chill-filtered.
