The Rhum J.M distillery is one of the few distilleries dedicated to the production of Rhum Agricole. Situated in the Macouba countryside on the island of Martinique, it is subject to the requirements of the ‘Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée’, a protected designation of origin that guarantees the quality and authenticity of the rum. A key feature of production at Rhum J.M is the use of freshly pressed sugarcane juice, grown on the distillery’s own fields at the foot of Montagne Pelée.

Rhum J.M Vieux Agricole Millésimé, the distillery’s flagship product, undergoes a meticulous ten-year ageing process in selected Bourbon casks. This long ageing period allows for the development of complex flavour profiles, which are further refined by the natural conditions of storage. A particular highlight of this rhum is that it contains no added colourings, added sugar or chill filtration, making it a pure expression of traditional rhum agricole.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden brown.

Nose: Complex, aromatic, fruity, full-bodied, with notes of exotic fruits, mango, papaya, pineapple and vanilla.

Palate: Round, fruity, with notes of exotic fruits, spices, oak barrels and toasted aromas.

Finish: Long-lasting, vanilla, fruit.
