The Rhum J.M distillery in Macouba, Martinique, specialises in the production of Rhum Agricole and adheres to the strict ‘Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée’ regulations. A key feature is the freshly pressed juice from sugarcane grown on the Montagne Pelée volcano.

In line with the growing trend towards sustainability in the spirits industry, the distillery has launched Rhum J.M Canopèe. This name, derived from the French word for ‘tree canopy’, ‘canopée’, emphasises the distillery’s commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of local ecosystems.

The limited-edition Rhum J.M Canopée, of which only 1,000 bottles were produced, is distilled from sugarcane juice and matured for up to six years in oak casks. Its environmentally friendly production and the thematically coordinated bottle design make this rum an attractive gift option.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden brown.

Nose: Tart and sweet, fruity, cocoa, roasted notes, vanilla, dates, prunes, figs.

Palate: Powerful, full-bodied, oak, cinnamon, nutmeg.

Finish: Long-lasting.
