An excellent rosé champagne can only be produced from perfectly ripened grapes, which is often a challenge given the cool conditions in Champagne. To meet this standard, Louis Roederer cultivates its grapes in Cumières, where the clay-limestone soil and steep slopes provide ideal growing conditions. The vineyards face entirely south, and the sunlight reflected off the Marne contributes to the grapes’ high phenolic ripeness.

Louis Roederer Champagne Rosé is made from approximately 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay, with 24% of the wine aged in oak barrels. After four years’ ageing on the lees, the cuvée matures for a further six months following disgorgement to develop perfect balance and depth.

This meticulous ageing process gives the champagne its exceptional complexity and elegance.

Tasting Note

A delicate golden-pink colour with shimmering highlights in the glass. On the nose, intense aromas of juicy peaches, redcurrants and citrus fruits. On the palate, it is lush, juicy and pleasantly mineral, accompanied by ripe nectarines and lemons. The finish is long-lasting, with a subtle bitterness and slightly salty notes.
