The fourth release in The Macallan’s Harmony Collection was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil to celebrate the theme of oak and its significance for whisky in an innovative way. The whisky is matured in a combination of first-fill sherry-matured American oak casks and refill sherry casks. This exclusive collection honours The Macallan’s 200th anniversary and highlights the role of oak as a central element in whisky production.

The collection highlights the importance of oak in whisky-making, with up to 80 per cent of the flavour and 100 per cent of the natural colour being influenced by the casks. Sustainability and a connection to nature are central themes of this collaboration.

Tasting Note

Colour: Autumnal gold.

Nose: Intense notes of vanilla, sweet sorbet, ripe lime zest and fresh pears.

Palate: Toasted coconut with almond brittle, ripe apples, creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortbread, notes of oak.

Finish: Medium-length, slightly sweet, with aromas of vanilla.
