The Kilchoman COULL POINT Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exclusive travel retail edition from the Kilchoman Distillery and highlights the clean, bourbon-cask-influenced style of the farm distillery on Islay. Named after the rugged headland of Coull Point, situated about half a mile north of Machir Bay, this bottling continues the tradition of naming whiskies after distinctive local landmarks. The Kilchoman Coull Point is a vatting of four- and five-year-old first-fill ex-bourbon casks, with the four-year-old portion having undergone an additional four-week finish in Oloroso sherry butts. This carefully selected combination of casks combines freshness and clarity with a subtle, structural depth. This Islay single malt Scotch whisky has been bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, ensuring that its texture and character are fully preserved.


Stylistically, the Kilchoman COULL POINT is both approachable and precise, with a hint of smokiness, a fruity profile and the balance of sweetness and maritime spice typical of Kilchoman. The dominant bourbon cask maturation highlights citrus and vanilla notes, whilst the brief Oloroso finish adds further nuances and structure without overshadowing the fresh Islay character.
