The Weingut Müller Klöch, situated in the picturesque Klöch region of south-eastern Styria, was founded in 1973 by Walter Müller. Today, his son Stefan Müller successfully continues to run the family business. The family’s vineyards are situated in the premier sites of Hochwarth and Seindl, which, thanks to their unique geographical location and optimal climate, offer ideal conditions for viticulture. These conditions enable the grapes to ripen to the highest standard, which is clearly reflected in the taste of the wines.

Müller Klöch Pinot Blanc is made from 100 per cent Pinot Blanc grapes and is vinified with great care. The grapes grow on reddish loam and weathered basalt rock, which gives the wine its distinctive minerality. After harvest, the wine matures both in stainless-steel tanks and in a 500-litre wooden cask, after which it is bottled and sealed with a screw cap. This method of sealing ensures optimal storage, allowing the Pinot Blanc to mature for up to 10 years whilst gaining in complexity.

Tasting Note

A delicate yellow with greenish highlights in the glass. On the nose, it is fruity with aromas of ripe pears, and notes of quince and walnuts. On the palate, it is full-bodied, mineral, multi-faceted and fruity with pear notes. The finish is long-lasting.

Pairs superbly with pork, chicken, ravioli, sushi and cheese spaetzle.
