The Weingut Goldenits is situated in Tadten, nestled within the Heideboden grand cru. This region, to the east of Lake Neusiedl, benefits from the Pannonian climate, which offers ideal conditions for growing fully ripe grapes. As a traditional family-run business, the winery cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards. Red wine accounts for 75 per cent of the vineyard area, whilst the remaining 25 per cent is reserved for white wine.

Goldenit’s Robert Tetuna Reserve is a cuvée comprising 60% Blaufränkisch, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Zweigelt. The vines thrive on heavy black earth with a high clay content, a moderate amount of stone and sandy patches, which lend the wine a characteristic minerality. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand before undergoing a 23-day maceration period and being fermented under temperature control.

The wine is aged for 22 months in a mixture of new and used barrique barrels, which gives it its depth and complexity. Once matured, it is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

Tasting Note

Dark red in the glass. On the nose, a complex bouquet unfolds with a juicy structure, underpinned by subtle notes of nougat. On the palate, it is subtly spicy, accompanied by intense cherry flavours and juicy tannins. The finish is long-lasting.
