The Weingut Tschida, based in the renowned Illmitz wine region in Burgenland, is internationally renowned for its high-quality dessert wines. With decades of experience in wine production, this family-run winery has made a name for itself particularly through its noble sweet specialities. The vineyards stretch across 40 hectares on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl, a region renowned for its unique microclimate and ideal conditions for growing sweet wines.

Tschida Angerhof Illmitzer Spätlese is an outstanding wine that perfectly harmonises traditional viticulture with modern winemaking techniques. Made from the Sämling 88 grape variety and classified as a Spätlese, this wine impresses with its balanced interplay of lively fruitiness and a delicate residual sweetness. The carefully selected grapes are harvested at their optimum ripeness and fermented and stored in stainless steel tanks, thereby preserving their natural aromas and characteristic minerality. The wine is then gently bottled and sealed with a screw cap.

Tasting Note

A brilliant gold colour in the glass. On the nose, there is a spicy, delicate bouquet accompanied by cool notes of stone fruit and subtle hints of pome fruit. On the palate, a silky richness unfolds, complementing the captivatingly delicate, creamy and lively mouthfeel. The flavours blend into a balanced taste experience that offers both freshness and depth. Long-lasting finish.
