The Signatory Vintage Small Batch Edition Royal Brackla 10 Years Old Single Malt #17 is a remarkable Scottish single malt whisky from the renowned Royal Brackla Distillery in the Highlands. This whisky was distilled in 2014 and matured for over a decade before being bottled in 2024 as part of Signatory Vintage’s Small Batch Edition #17. With an alcohol content of 48.2% vol., it is presented at natural cask strength, which emphasises its intense aromas and characterful flavour.

It was initially matured in traditional oak casks, followed by a finishing period in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. This special finishing process imparts a deep, complex bouquet to the whisky, with notes of dark fruit, chocolate and hints of nuts. The combination of rich sherry sweetness and classic Highland malt notes makes this single malt an exceptional tasting experience.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Aromas of dried fruit, particularly raisins and figs, accompanied by sweet vanilla and a hint of spices

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and toasted nuts, harmoniously balanced by a subtle spiciness.

Finish: Long-lasting and warming, with a pleasant sweetness and a hint of oak.

A splash of water can further open up and intensify the complex flavours. It pairs excellently with dark chocolate, mature cheeses or desserts featuring nutty and caramel notes.
