The Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages AOC 2024 is a fresh, fruit-forward red wine that reflects the pure expressiveness of the Gamay grape in its most elegant form. Produced by the renowned Burgundian winery Louis Jadot, which has stood for artisanal precision and high-quality wines from the heart of France since 1859, this Beaujolais-Villages comes from selected vineyards north of Lyon. These higher-altitude villages – denoted by the ‘Villages’ designation – produce particularly well-structured and aromatic wines compared to classic Beaujolais.

The Gamay grape variety thrives particularly well on the region’s granitic soils, producing wines characterised by lively fruit, soft tannins and an invigorating freshness. The 2024 vintage impresses with its exceptional clarity, youthful fruit and a supple structure. Vinification is carried out traditionally using semi-carbonic maceration to highlight the variety’s characteristic aromas of red berries and floral nuances. Ageing in stainless steel tanks preserves the wine’s freshness and purity – a classic Beaujolais style with a modern, easy-drinking character.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages glows with a clear ruby red colour and a violet sheen. On the nose, there are intense aromas of raspberries, redcurrants, violets and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, it is soft, juicy and elegant, with a light structure, lively acidity and a charming, fruit-driven character. The finish is clean, fresh and accompanied by a delicate minerality.
