Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.
The Bottega GOLD Prosecco DOC Brut is a highlight of the Bottega range, made from the exquisite Glera grape variety. This sparkling wine is characterised by its elegance and liveliness, which is the result of the careful selection of the grapes. Its fine perlage and bouquet of fresh fruit and flowers make it a refreshing pleasure that is perfect for special occasions and festive events thanks to its dry character.
Bottega continues the family tradition with this Prosecco, combining decades of expertise in wine and grappa production with modern standards to create first-class products that harmoniously combine tradition and innovation.
Tasting Note
In the glass, Bottega GOLD is a light straw yellow colour with a fine, lively perlage. The nose reveals aromas of green apple, Williams pear, citrus fruit and white flowers, rounded off with delicate yeasty notes. On the palate, the Brut is dry, harmonious and fresh, with well-integrated acidity, elegant lightness and a clear, fine mineral finish.
Perfectly tempered at 6-8 °C, Bottega GOLD is ideal as a fine aperitif, with fine starters, sushi, grilled fish, carpaccio, goat's cheese with honey or fruity desserts. Thanks to its stylish presentation and large format, it is particularly popular at events, weddings, receptions or as a gift that makes a lasting impression.
