Platzer Welschriesling Ried Aunberg 2024 is an outstanding DAC white wine from Vulkanland Styria, which impresses with its precise aroma, fresh acidity structure and typical regional signature. With an alcohol content of 12% vol. and a dry finish, this Styrian Welschriesling stands for lightness, origin and clarity in the glass. The grapes come from the renowned Ried Aunberg vineyard, a site with medium-heavy, calcareous cultivated soil characterised by fine tertiary sediments - ideal conditions for elegant white wines with a mineral character.

Vinification follows the classic Styrian vinification method. After careful harvesting, the grapes are matured at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to maximise freshness, fruit and varietal typicity. The wine is sealed with a practical screw cap and not only impresses with its uncomplicated drinking pleasure, but also with its quality and longevity. The storage potential lasts until at least 2028, making this wine suitable for stockpiling or as a gift. Tasting Note

The Platzer Welschriesling Ried Aunberg has a light lemon yellow colour with greenish reflections in the glass. The nose is animatingly fresh with aromas of green apple, citrus, some peach and a hint of meadow herbs. On the palate, it is dry, lively and well-structured with fresh acidity, mineral clarity and a straightforward, elegant finish.
