The Clonakilty Distillery was founded in 2017 and is located in the picturesque town of Clonakilty on the south coast of Ireland. The region around the distillery is now in the eighth generation of the Scully family, who have a long tradition of producing high-quality spirits. The mild climate on the south coast, characterised by the fresh air of the Atlantic, creates excellent conditions for the cultivation of the required grains. Clonakilty Irish Whiskey Port Cask Finish Series is an exquisite blended whiskey consisting of 9-year-old Irish grain whiskey and high-quality Irish malt whiskey. After maturation, a special post-maturing process takes place in port casks, which gives the whisky a unique complexity.

A special quality feature of this bottling is that it is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, which means that the authentic aromas and characteristic taste are fully preserved. Under the direction of Head Distiller Paul Corbett, an Irish whiskey has been created that will delight lovers of fine spirits and impress them with its full-bodied flavour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm copper with a reddish tinge.

Nose: Red berries, sweet malt, vanilla and a hint of spice.
