A rare drop from Speyside: this 8-year-old single malt Scotch whisky comes from the up-and-coming Dalmunach Distillery, which has combined modern technology with traditional craftsmanship since its foundation. Distillation took place on 11 October 2016 and the whisky was bottled exactly on 5 March 2025 - the result is a single cask bottling limited to just 143 bottles worldwide with real collector's value.

This unpeated single malt was matured in a 1st fill Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter cask, which has given the whisky an intense flavour and pronounced cask maturity. Bottled at cask strength (56.2% vol.), this whisky is presented in its natural state - without chill filtration and without colouring. The combination of small cask size and sweet PX sherry influence creates a full-bodied, deeply structured Speyside whisky with character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with a coppery shimmer.

Nose: Richly sweet with notes of sultanas, dates, dark chocolate and dried figs.

Taste: Full-bodied, oily, with flavours of sherry, cinnamon, stewed plums, toffee and a pleasant oak note.

Finish: Langs and warming, characterised by sweet oak, chocolate nuances and delicate spice.

This powerful Speyside whisky unfolds its full potential neat in a nosing glass at room temperature - optionally with a few drops of water to open up the flavour. Ideal as a digestif after a rich dinner, accompanied by mature cheese, dark chocolate with orange zest or dried fruit.
