The Tomintoul 30 Years Old 1995 from Signatory Vintage’s limited-edition Symington’s Choice series is an exceptional single cask single malt whisky from Speyside, Scotland, which impresses with its long maturation, elegant cask selection and aromatic depth. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025, this whisky spent a full 30 years in a single, carefully selected first-fill Oloroso sherry butt – a cask that has played a key role in shaping its character.

This fine whisky was created by Tomintoul Master Distiller Robert Fleming, who, drawing on his decades of experience, was responsible for the base spirit. Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage, discovered this matured treasure in the cask store and decided to include it directly from the single cask in the exclusive Symington’s Choice range. It was bottled at cask strength at 50.7 % ABV, naturally non-chill-filtered and in its natural colour, to preserve the full expressiveness and authenticity of this Speyside malt.

This 30-year-old whisky combines maturity with elegance, complexity with depth – a single malt for connoisseurs and collectors that shines both for its provenance and its cask history.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark copper.

Nose: Ripe dried fruit, raisins, figs, along with toffee, dark chocolate, sherry, spices and an elegant hint of oak.

Palate: Full-bodied, smooth and complex with notes of caramel, dried stone fruit, nuts, cinnamon, aged leather and a hint of mocha.

Finish: Lang, warming and multi-layered with sweet sherry spice, oak and a hint of orange zest.

This exceptional Tomintoul is best enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully experience the delicate flavours of the First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. A few drops of water can help to reveal further layers of flavour.
