The Tommasi Graticcio Appassionato 12.5% vol. 0.75 l is an expressive red wine from Veneto that perfectly embodies the traditional craftsmanship of the Tommasi family. Since 1902, the winery has stood for the highest quality and a passion for creating authentic wines from grape varieties typical of the region.


For the Graticcio Appassionato, the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Merlot are used, which come from selected Veneto growing areas. After harvesting, some of the grapes are dried on traditional bamboo racks, the so-called "Graticcio", for about a month. This process gives the wine a more intense flavour and forms the basis for its unmistakable character.


After fermentation, the wine matures for six months in large Slavonian oak barrels. This gives it additional depth, structure and elegance. The result is a harmonious, velvety red wine that impresses with its balance of fruit, flavour and softness. The Graticcio Appassionato is a real highlight for lovers of Italian wine culture and is suitable for festive occasions as well as for enjoyable moments in everyday life.

Tasting Note

The Tommasi Graticcio Appassionato has an intense, deep ruby red colour with violet reflections in the glass. The nose reveals a rich, fruity aroma with clear cherry notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, intensely flavoured and aromatic, yet velvety, balanced and with a long, elegant finish.

This Italian red wine is an excellent accompaniment to white and red meat, game dishes and braised meat with strong sauces. It also comes into its own with mature cheese or fresh cheeses. It also harmonises wonderfully with Mediterranean classics such as lasagne, pasta in spicy tomato sauces, risotto with mushrooms or a selection of Italian antipasti.
