The Douglas Laing Scallywag The Berlin Limited Edition 48% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exclusive special release from the renowned Scallywag range, which is prized for its Speyside blended malts with a sweet, fruity character. Bottled by the independent family-run company Douglas Laing & Co., which has stood for authentic whiskies free from colouring and chill filtration since 1948, this edition pays homage to the city of Berlin and is available only in limited quantities.


For the Scallywag Berlin Edition, only selected single malts from the Speyside region have been blended, many of which have been matured in sherry casks. The result is a whisky with intense notes of dark fruits, chocolate, spices and a delicate sweetness that is typical of Scallywag. Bottled at a robust 48% ABV, it is full-bodied and aromatic, yet remains well-balanced and approachable. The elaborately designed gift box (GB) also makes it a highly sought-after collector’s item.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with reddish highlights.

Nose: Fruity and sweet, with notes of raisins, ripe berries, chocolate and a hint of spices.

Palate: Full-bodied and harmonious with sherry-like sweetness, cocoa, dried fruit, caramel and subtle spice.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and elegant with a chocolatey, fruity aftertaste.
