The Bottega Alexander Exquisite ALEXANDER Aqva Di Vita Grappa Invecchiata Prosecco is a fine, barrel-aged grape marc spirit made from the precious marc of Glera grapes - the golden-yellow grape variety used to make the world-famous Prosecco. This grappa combines the aromatic freshness and elegance of its original wine with the depth and complexity that comes from careful ageing in wood.


It is produced with the utmost precision and in accordance with traditional Italian distilling techniques. Distillation takes place in traditional copper stills, in three phases at different temperatures, in order to preserve the fine aroma spectrum of the grapes in the best possible way. Vacuum distillation ensures a particularly gentle separation of the flavours, while bain-marie heating (indirect water bath process) guarantees a soft, balanced result.


The grappa then matures for 12 months in handcrafted oak barrels made from wood that has previously been dried in the open air for at least 24 months. This allows the wood to lose excess moisture and unwanted bitter substances before the staves are cut, toasted and assembled into barrels. During this ageing process, the grappa develops its typical golden yellow colour, a pronounced aromatic complexity and its characteristically soft structure.

Colour: Pale golden yellow with warm reflections.

Nose: Intense, fruity and balanced with notes of dried fruit, vanilla, spices and floral accents reminiscent of the original Glera grapes.

Flavour: Soft, full-bodied and inviting with subtle hints of dried fruit, vanilla and spicy wood.

Finish: Langs, aromatic and harmonious with elegant notes of wood and fruit.
