The Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 011 is matured using the Triple Cask Maturation method. This primarily involves the use of European oak casks that previously held sherry. These are complemented by American ex-bourbon casks and new American oak casks, which lend the whisky additional vanilla and woody notes. The single malt is bottled at a robust 48% ABV, without chill filtration (non-chill filtered) and without the addition of colouring, thereby preserving its natural colour and full spectrum of aromas. Compared to earlier batches, Batch 011 is particularly well-balanced and less sweet, whilst intense fruit aromas, subtle spices and elegant oak notes harmonise perfectly with one another.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with natural amber highlights.

Nose: Ripe cherries, plums, sweet sherry, raisins, toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, subtle oak and orange peel.

Palate: Full-bodied with dark fruits, chocolate, honey, nutmeg, cloves, nutty notes, oak, subtle tannins and a delicate peppery spice.

Finish: Medium-long to long with dry oak, dark chocolate and lingering fruit sweetness.
