The Arran 15 Years Old RARE BATCH Single Malt Scotch Whisky Limited Edition 52.5% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a strictly limited bottling from the Arran Distillery and is one of the island distillery's special editions with a strong character. A total of 4,198 bottles were produced, making this single malt a coveted collector's item. The whisky was initially matured for 7 years in bourbon barrels before being stored for a further 8 years in selected French Oak Grander Cru casks. These casks were previously used to mature high-quality, still white wines from a prestigious region in north-east France and significantly characterise the aromatic depth of this edition. It was bottled non-chill-filtered and without colouring to fully preserve the whisky's unadulterated character. The presentation in an elegant gift box further emphasises the exclusivity of this RARE BATCH.


At 52.5 per cent by volume, this Isle of Arran single malt whisky is a complex and powerfully structured bottling with a cask combination that produces particularly multi-layered flavours. The combination of American oak and French Gran Cru cask maturation gives the whisky a long-lasting, elegant depth and an aromatic diversity that is characterised by maturity, balance and the unmistakable island character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with copper reflections.

Nose: Complex and elegant with aromas of honey, caramel, candied fruit, vanilla and oak spice.

Flavour: Full-bodied, strong and creamy with notes of toffee, dried apricots, nuts, spices and a hint of dark chocolate.

Finish: Warm, harmonious and long-lasting with a sweet and spicy oak flavour and a fine sherry note.

The Arran 15 Years Old RARE BATCH is ideal for pure enjoyment, especially at a low temperature, so that its French-influenced cask nuances come to the fore. In culinary terms, it harmonises perfectly with mature hard cheese, mild blue cheese or air-dried ham, which elegantly complement its fruity, woody structure. A harmonious combination is created with desserts such as crème brûlée, almond biscuits, white chocolate variations or fine fruit tarts. In upmarket mixology, it can be used as a base for strong whisky cocktails, with its Grander Cru notes lending particular depth.
