The grapes come from carefully tended vineyards in the south of France, where chalky and clayey soils and the Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights promote ideal ripening and aromatic concentration.


After temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is gently matured to preserve its varietal purity and freshness. The Merlot displays intense flavours of red berries and chocolatey notes - a fruity wine for every occasion, which impresses with its velvety structure, round texture and charming balance. Tasting Note

In the glass, the wine is an intense ruby red colour with purple hues. The nose reveals aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries and plums, accompanied by hints of vanilla, spices and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is round, fruity and harmonious, with a fine structure, velvety tannins and a smooth mouthfeel. The finish is soft, fruity and persistent - a Merlot that impresses with its warmth and balance.

The JP. Chenet Merlot 2024 is ideal with pasta with strong sauces, grilled meat, pizza, mild cheese or Mediterranean vegetable dishes. It is also a pleasant solo companion for relaxed evenings or social gatherings. Served at 16-18 °C in a Bordeaux glass, it unfolds its aromatic diversity to optimum effect. It is best drunk between 2024 and 2027, although it shows its fruity freshness best when young.
