Glen Scotia Campbeltown SAGA WHISKYPOLIS Release No. 1 is a limited special bottling from the traditional Glen Scotia Distillery, one of the last active producers in the Campbeltown whisky region of Scotland. This edition was created to mark the WHISKYPOLIS festival and presents the distillery's classic style in a modern, powerful interpretation. At 50% vol., the single malt offers a natural intensity that brings out its aromatic depth and the characteristic maritime notes from Campbeltown particularly well. Matured in selected oak casks, this edition combines fruity freshness, subtle spice and Glen Scotia's typical structure with a clear, authentic character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light to medium gold.

Nose: Maritime freshness, malt, light-coloured fruit, fine vanilla and an elegant woody note.

Flavour: Strong and balanced, light spices, malt, subtle sweetness, fresh fruit and oak.

Finish: Langs, spicy, with a subtle sea breeze.

Glen Scotia SAGA WHISKYPOLIS Release No. 1 harmonises perfectly with shortbread, vanilla panna cotta, dark chocolate, caramelised apple or shortbread, as the balanced malt and wood notes of the whisky are elegantly complemented. It is also suitable as an accompaniment to mild hard cheese, smoked salmon, salted almonds or maritime starters, as its light coastal flavour subtly underlines these dishes. It reveals its aromatic power particularly clearly on its own, but can also be opened with a few drops of water. As an enjoyable companion for quiet evenings or moments of concentrated tasting, it reveals its depth particularly impressively.
