Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia Bolgheri DOC 2023 is an expressive, modern super Tuscan from Bolgheri that reflects the philosophy of Ornellaia in a more accessible, yet very precise form. As Ornellaia's second wine, Le Serre Nuove combines international grape varieties with Tuscan origins and stands for structure, elegance and depth. The cuvée is based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, with each grape variety vinified separately to bring out its individual character traits in the best possible way. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, the 2023 vintage is powerful, concentrated and remarkably balanced.

The wine is carefully matured in barriques, which gives it structure, finesse and additional complexity without losing its fruitiness and freshness. Le Serre Nuove is already a pleasure to drink at a young age, but has enough substance and depth for further ageing. The Bolgheri DOC 2023 impresses with its clear style, dense fruit and elegant texture and represents a contemporary Tuscan red wine with international appeal and a clear origin.

Tasting Note

Deep ruby red in the glass with a dense colour. Intense dark berry fruit on the nose, accompanied by fine spice and elegant roasted flavours. Full-bodied and precisely structured on the palate with ripe fruit, well-integrated tannins and harmonious acidity. The finish is long, powerful and balanced.

Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia Bolgheri DOC 2023 harmonises perfectly with beef, lamb, game dishes and braised meat dishes. It is also very harmonious with pasta with strong sauces, Mediterranean meat dishes or mature hard cheeses.
