The Schwarz KUMAROD Cuvée Rot 2022 is an Austrian quality red wine full of character that combines immediate drinking pleasure with depth and structure. Produced by the distinctive Schwarz winery, this cuvée stands for a modern, juicy red wine style with a clear signature. The cuvée of 70% Zweigelt, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot combines freshness, flavour and elegance. The ripe Merlot forms the supporting backbone and provides balance, roundness and harmonious smoothness.


The Schwarz KUMAROD Cuvée Rot is aged dry and matures for 12 months in used barrels, allowing the fruit to remain in the foreground and the wood to have a subtle structuring effect. With 13.5% alcohol, the 2022 vintage is juicy, balanced and accessible early on without losing any of its depth. The ageing gives the wine an elegant texture and velvety tannins, while retaining freshness and flavour. Bottled in the classic 0.75-litre bottle, this red wine from Burgenland stands for versatile, uncomplicated enjoyment with high standards.

Tasting Note

Deep, dark ruby-garnet colour with violet reflections and delicate rim brightening. The nose has a delicate aroma of heart cherries and ripe plums, accompanied by fine wood spice and orange zest. Juicy, elegant and round on the palate with velvety tannins, herbal-spicy nuances and clear cherry fruit. The finish is balanced, fruity and versatile.

The Schwarz KUMAROD Cuvée Red 2022 is an extremely versatile accompaniment to pasta, pizza, grilled meat, stews or savoury everyday dishes. At a serving temperature of around 14 to 16 °C, it unfolds its fruit, flavour and harmonious structure in a particularly harmonious way.
