The Inchdairnie KinGlassie 8 Years Old Double Matured Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the innovative Inchdairnie Distillery and is an example of a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Scotch whisky production. The distillery from Fife pursues a holistic approach from grain cultivation to bottling, consistently focussing on regional raw materials and modern production methods. The aim is to produce single malt Scotch whisky with a clear origin, technical precision and exceptional depth. Each bottling is an expression of this philosophy and combines classic craftsmanship with a deliberately progressive style.


KinGlassie is a heavily peated Fife single malt Scotch whisky that is distilled exclusively for a fortnight each year in winter. Only barley malt from Fife is used, which is malted with mainland peat to over 50 ppm. The whisky is matured as a double matured whisky for a total of eight years in the distillery's warehouses. The whisky is initially matured for five years in former American oak bourbon casks before being transferred to Amontillado sherry casks for a further three years. Bottled at 46.3%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring, this bottling retains its full texture and cask structure and stands for uncompromising quality with a clear signature.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber, with a warm glow.

Nose: Strong smoky aromas, fine tobacco notes, accompanied by almonds, nuts and a dry sherry flavour.

Flavour: Velvety-smoky character, nutty accents, harmoniously integrated into a rich, pleasantly structured texture.

Finish: Langs, characterised by smoke, nuttiness, dry oak and a subtle sherry influence.

This heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky is ideal for pure enjoyment, allowing the double cask maturation and intense peat smoke to be clearly experienced. In culinary terms, it harmonises particularly well with strong dishes such as smoked meat, game dishes or spicy hard cheese.
