The Bruichladdich 10 Years Old THE CLASSIC LADDIE Islay Single Malt 50% Vol. 0.7 l is the consistent further development of the characteristic house style of the traditional Bruichladdich Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay and is considered the successor to the previous standard Classic Laddie. As an unpeated Islay single malt Scotch whisky, this bottling exemplifies origin, transparency and uncompromising quality. Made from 100% Scottish barley - around half of which is grown directly on Islay - this Islay single malt is distilled, matured and bottled entirely on the island. As such, it epitomises the distillery's consistent "farmer first" approach and maximum traceability from field to glass.


After 10 years of maturation in a variety of selected oak casks, the Bruichladdich Classic Laddie 10 Year Old gains significant depth, structure and aromatic complexity without losing its typical fresh and maritime character. Bottled at a strong 50%, naturally non-chill-filtered and without colouring, this single malt Scotch whisky retains its natural oils, texture and full aromatic density. Each batch is individually blended, with details of barley varieties and cask profiles available via the bottle code on the distillery's website. In the iconic aquamarine-coloured bottle, this unpeated Islay whisky is powerful, elegant and complex.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Ripe orchard fruits, floral notes, toasted oak, fresh lemon and citrus orange.

Flavour: Candied citrus peel, juicy stone fruit, malt barley sugar, ground almonds and a subtle maritime saltiness.

Finish: Langs, fruity and characterised by lingering citrus nuances.

The Bruichladdich Classic Laddie 10 Years Islay Single Malt is an excellent match for seafood such as oysters, scallops, grilled sea bass or lemon butter fish, as its fresh citrus structure and maritime elegance ideally accompany these flavours. It also harmonises with poultry dishes such as lemon chicken, veal fillet or mild risotto variations as well as soft cheeses such as Brie or goat's cheese. This unpeated Islay whisky also unfolds its fine balance with desserts such as lemon tart, almond cake or vanilla desserts. We particularly recommend drinking it neat or with a few drops of water, for example as an elegant aperitif or with a sophisticated tasting.
