The Kilkerran brand stands for authentic, handcrafted bottlings from Campbeltown and impressively reflects the revitalisation of this historic whisky region. The Heavily Peated Batch 12 is made from heavily peated malt and bottled as a small batch Scotch whisky in limited batches. Matured in a selected combination of bourbon and sherry casks, this peated single malt is powerful, maritime in character and multi-layered. Bottled at 58.4%, naturally non-chill-filtered and without colouring, it retains its full intensity and structure.

The Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 12 shows the typical Campbeltown style with salty, oily and smoky Elements, combined with fruity and spicy cask notes. The high cask strength provides depth and expression, while the balanced maturation gives the whisky a remarkable balance. This bottling is particularly aimed at lovers of strong, smoke-accentuated single malt Scotch whiskies.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, maritime notes, citrus fruits, vanilla and light spices.

Flavour: Powerful and oily, with smoke, malt, citrus, vanilla, salty minerality and subtle sweetness.

Finish: Langs and warming, with lingering smoke, spices and maritime notes, long lasting.

The Kilkerran Heavily Peated Small Batch Single Malt Whisky is an excellent accompaniment to smoked salmon, oysters, grilled scallops or seafood, as its strong smoke ideally complements the salty flavours. It also harmonises with grilled lamb, beef steak or game dishes as well as strong hard cheeses such as Cheddar or Comté. This peated Campbeltown whisky also unfolds its complex structure with dark chocolate, bitter chocolate or chocolate desserts.
