The Leitner Sauvignon Blanc Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2025 12% Vol. 0.75 l is a characterful Sauvignon Blanc from Styria that impressively reflects the typical style of the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC origin. The traditional Leitner winery stands for precisely vinified DAC wines from Austria that combine freshness, flavour and regional typicity. This Austrian white wine is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety and presents itself as a dry white wine with a clear structure and lively fruit.


The grapes come from the characteristic vineyards of Vulkanland Steiermark, whose volcanic soils and balanced climate create ideal conditions for aromatic Styrian Sauvignon Blanc wines. Viticulture is carried out conventionally, with particular emphasis placed on healthy and optimally ripened grapes. After the harvest, the wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the typical varietal flavours and freshness. The wine has a precise, fruit-accentuated style and is ideal for early consumption, but also has a drinking window of around two years. The bottle is sealed with a screw cap, which reliably preserves the freshness and flavour.

Tasting Note

In the glass it has a light yellow colour with greenish reflections, the nose reveals a complex aroma of nettle, yellow pepper and hay accompanied by cassis and fresh exotic fruit notes, on the palate the wine has a lively structure with fresh fruit and a zesty, spicy style, the finish is fresh, aromatic and long-lasting.

This Sauvignon Blanc from Styria is ideal as an aperitif and harmonises particularly well with fish dishes, seafood, grilled vegetables or fresh salads. This Vulkanland Steiermark DAC white wine is also an excellent accompaniment to asparagus dishes, Asian cuisine, poultry or light starters. Served at around 8-10 °C, the Austrian Sauvignon Blanc reveals its fresh flavour, lively acidity and elegant spiciness particularly well.
