Description
The Tschermonegg Weissburgunder Südsteiermark DAC 2025 12.5% Vol. 0.75 l is an elegant Austrian white wine from southern Styria that authentically reflects the typical finesse of the Südsteiermark DAC origin. This Styrian Pinot Blanc is produced by the traditional Tschermonegg winery, which is known for precisely vinified DAC wines from Styria with a clear structure and regional typicity. The Pinot Blanc grape variety in this region has a particularly elegant style with fine fruit and balanced acidity.
The vines are between 8 and 35 years old and grow in the characteristic sites of southern Styria, whose climate and soils offer ideal conditions for aromatic and structured white wines. After careful harvesting, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then matured for 6 to 8 months on the fine lees, which gives it additional structure and a fine fruity flavour. The wine year was characterised by a mild winter and a very dry summer, which resulted in small, concentrated berries. The early start to the harvest at the beginning of September produced grapes with a particularly fine flavour, moderate alcohol and lively acidity. This Südsteiermark DAC Pinot Blanc is sealed with a screw cap, which optimally preserves freshness and flavour.
Tasting Note
In the glass it is a brilliant clear straw yellow with shiny reflections, The nose reveals elegant aromas of quince, fresh apple and juicy peach accompanied by a subtle herbal spice, On the palate the wine is dry, delicately spicy and harmonious with lively acidity, juicy fruit melt and medium body, The finish is clearly structured, delicately spicy and long-lasting.
Acidity: 5.7 g/l
Residual sugar: 2.6 g/l

This Südsteiermark DAC white wine also goes very well with Styrian root meat, creamy mushroom risotto with fresh herbs or light fish dishes. Served at around 6-8 °C, this Austrian white wine develops its elegant fruit, fine flavour and typical Styrian freshness in a particularly harmonious way. The ideal drinking age is between 2026 and 2029.
