The Ramos Pinto RP.LBV Late Bottled Vintage 2019 19.5% Vol. 0.75 l + GB is an expressive Late Bottled Vintage Port from the Douro Valley in Portugal and comes from the traditional house of Ramos Pinto, which has stood for high-quality port wines from the Douro since 1880. This LBV port is made from a classic Douro cuvée of the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Sousão, Tinto Cão and Tinta Roriz, which provide structure, aromatic depth and complexity.


The 2019 vintage is bottled as an unfiltered Late Bottled Vintage Port, which preserves the original structure and flavour of the wine in a particularly authentic way. With 19.5% alcohol by volume, this Vintage Port from Portugal displays impressive intensity and depth. Served at a recommended drinking temperature of 17-18°C, this Douro port wine develops its complex flavours in a particularly harmonious way and is ideal for sophisticated moments of enjoyment.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Ramos Pinto RP.LBV Late Bottled Vintage 2019 is a very concentrated ruby red with an almost opaque centre. The nose reveals youthful, fresh aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries and red plums, accompanied by subtle nuances of eucalyptus and a hint of cedar wood. The palate is characterised by intense notes of cherry, plum and sweet red berries, complemented by hints of bergamot. Juicy, silky tannins give the wine structure and elegance, while the finish is harmonious, full-bodied and long-lasting.

This Late Bottled Vintage Port from the Douro is an excellent accompaniment to game dishes, red meat or strong cheese specialities such as Serra cheese or other fatty hard and soft cheeses. The Ramos Pinto LBV 2019 also harmonises perfectly with chocolate desserts, dark chocolate, chocolate cake or pralines and is ideal as an elegant dessert wine or as an intense finish to an indulgent menu.
