Chivas Regal MIZUNARA Blended Scotch Whisky combines traditional Scottish whisky-making with the distinctive influence of Japanese oak. Chivas Regal developed this expression as the world’s first Blended Scotch Whisky to be partially finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It is important to note one key distinction: not the entire blend undergoes this finishing process; rather, a specific portion of the blended Scotch whisky is matured in Mizunara oak casks as the final stage of its ageing. Mizunara oak is considered exceptionally rare and challenging to work with, which is why it is used primarily for special whisky bottlings. Through this choice of casks, Chivas Regal deliberately combines elements of Scottish and Japanese whisky culture.


Chivas Regal Mizunara is bottled at 40 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. The focus is on the influence of Japanese Mizunara oak, which lends additional floral and spicy notes to the smooth and fruity Chivas style. This results in a distinctive blend that stands out clearly within the Chivas Regal range thanks to its special cask treatment. Chivas Regal Mizunara is particularly well suited for enjoying neat at room temperature, over a large ice cube, or as the base for a premium whisky highball.
