The Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky 45% Vol. 0.7 l is a traditional bourbon from Loretto, Kentucky, which is known worldwide for its mild, balanced style and distinctive bottle design with a red wax seal. Since its foundation in the 1950s, the distillery has focussed on the highest quality, handcrafted production and a recipe that differs from classic bourbons.


The speciality of Maker's Mark lies in the mashbill: instead of rye, red winter wheat is used as the third most important grain alongside corn and malted barley. This gives the bourbon its incomparably soft, round texture and a significantly less spicy, but sweeter and more harmonious character. After distillation, the whisky matures in new, heavily burnt American white oak barrels, where it develops its golden colour, vanilla and caramel notes as well as a fine spiciness.


At 45% vol., Maker's Mark is stronger than many standard bourbons without losing its velvety smoothness. Each bottle is traditionally sealed by hand with red wax - an iconic trademark that makes it unmistakable worldwide.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with copper reflections.

Nose: Sweet and mild, with vanilla, caramel, honey, cereals and light oak.

Flavour: Soft and round, characterised by toffee, vanilla, sweet corn, honey and delicate wood notes.

Finish: Langs, pleasantly sweet with subtle spice and fine oak.

The Maker's Mark Bourbon is ideal for drinking neat or on ice, but is also the perfect base for classic bourbon cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Whiskey Sour. In culinary terms, it harmonises ideally with BBQ dishes, grilled meat, spicy cheese or chocolate desserts, which perfectly complement its sweet mildness and fine spiciness.
