Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer schnapps distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A distinctive feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are organically grown and harvested on the distillery’s own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to packaging the bottles, is carried out by hand and with the utmost care. With the arrival of Hansi Junior, the company underwent a modernisation, reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, which combines tradition and innovation.

The Reisetbauer Blue Gin Austrian Vintage Gin is produced using the Mulan wheat variety, which is grown specifically in Upper Austria. To preserve the delicate flavours, the gin is distilled using the gentle pot-still method.

This Austrian gin is characterised by its vintage nature, with the vintage indicating the year of distillation. The Blue Gin is distilled exclusively once a year, between February and May. This underlines its status as a vintage gin and rightly justifies the name. Availability is limited, meaning that once a vintage is sold out, those interested must wait until the following year to enjoy this special gin.
