The Kraken Black Spiced Rum 40% Vol. 0.7 l is a legendary spiced rum that has achieved cult status worldwide thanks to its deep black appearance and powerful character. Named after the mystical sea monster "Kraken", it epitomises the dark and mysterious side of the rum world.


It is made on the basis of Caribbean rum, which is refined with a secret blend of 11 spices and flavours. These include cinnamon, Ingwerer, cloves and vanilla, which give the rum its characteristic depth and flavour. Bottled at 40% vol., Kraken offers a strong, aromatic profile that is perfectly balanced between sweetness, spice and a slightly smoky undertone. Its distinctive black colour is created by the addition of natural caramel and underlines its mystical aura.


The eye-catching bottle with the two side Langs and the octopus motif has long been an iconic trademark and makes it a real eye-catcher in any bar.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep black with brown reflections.

Nose: Intensely spicy, with notes of vanilla, cloves, cinnamon and caramel.

Finish: Langs, spicy and slightly sweet with lingering warmth.

Kraken Black Spiced Rum can be enjoyed neat or on ice, but shows its strengths particularly in cocktails. It gives classic drinks such as rum and cola, dark 'n' stormy or a spicy spiced mojito a strong, dark flavour. It also cuts an excellent figure in combination with ginger beer or as a base for creative dessert cocktails. With its strong spiciness, it also harmonises perfectly with chocolate or BBQ dishes.
