The Glen Grant 12 Years Old Single Malt comes from the renowned Glen Grant Distillery, which was founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant in Rothes, Scotland. Since its inception, the distillery has developed an excellent reputation for producing smooth, fruity and approachable whiskies that perfectly reflect the Speyside region. Glen Grant was one of the first distilleries to utilise the 'continuous still' process, an innovative method that ensures a higher purity of distillate. This unique production method helps Glen Grant 12 Years Old to stand out from the standard portfolio with its remarkable freshness and clarity.

This 12-year-old single malt is produced by distillation in traditional pot stills, with the whisky maturing for 12 years in a combination of American and European oak casks. The maturation in different types of casks ensures a balanced maturation in which fruity notes of apples and pears harmonise perfectly with the subtle oak spice. The end result is a full-bodied and complex whisky that reflects the expertise of the Glen Grant Distillery and is one of its most popular bottlings.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Fresh aromas of green apples, pears and citrus fruits, complemented by notes of vanilla and floral herbs.

Flavour: Full-bodied and round, with aromas of honey, cinnamon, a light oak spice and a hint of almonds.

Finish: Langs and smooth, with a pleasant fruity sweetness and a mild oak spice that lingers slowly.

The Glen Grant 12 Years Old is perfect neat or on ice to experience the flavours in their full depth. It goes well with light dishes such as grilled fish, chicken or salads with goat's cheese. The whisky also harmonises perfectly with mature cheeses such as cheddar or Comté. For a particularly sophisticated flavour, it can also be wonderfully combined with dark chocolate or fruity desserts such as apple tart.
