Der Willett Straight Rye Whiskey Rare Release Family Estate ist eine hochkarätige Small Batch Abfüllung aus der renommierten Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky – einer Brennerei mit tiefen Wurzeln in der amerikanischen Whiskey-Tradition. Diese seltene Edition wurde mit 57,2 % Vol. in echter Cask Strength abgefüllt und repräsentiert die kraftvolle, unverfälschte Ausdrucksweise eines Straight Rye Whiskeys, der kompromisslos nach höchsten Standards hergestellt wird.
Für volle 4 Jahre reifte dieser Rye in neuen ausgebrannten Weißeichenfässern (American White Oak Barrels), wodurch er seine markante Balance aus intensiver Roggenwürze, Eichencharakter und feiner Süße entwickelt hat. Die Reifung im heißen Klima Kentuckys intensiviert die Aromen und verleiht dem Whiskey Tiefe und Komplexität. Wie bei allen Abfüllungen der Willett Family Estate Serie wurde auch hier auf Kühlfiltration und Farbstoffe vollständig verzichtet. Das Ergebnis ist ein Whiskey mit klarer Herkunft, natürlicher Struktur und beeindruckender aromatischer Ausdruckskraft – ein Cask Strength Rye für anspruchsvolle Genießer. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Sattes Gold mit warmen Kupferreflexen.
Nase: Ausdrucksstark mit Aromen von schwarzem Pfeffer, gerösteter Eiche, Zimt, Minze und Kräuterwürze. Dazu feine Süße von Vanille, Honig und Karamell.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, kraftvoll und trocken mit Noten von Roggenbrot, Muskat, dunklem Toffee, Anis und leichtem Tabak. Der hohe Roggenanteil bringt Tiefe und Textur.
Abgang: Lang, würzig und anhaltend mit Eichenholz, Backgewürzen und einer eleganten, pfeffrigen Schärfe.
