This rye matured for a full 4 years in new American white oak barrels, developing its distinctive balance of intense rye flavour, oak character and subtle sweetness. The maturation in Kentucky's hot climate intensifies the flavours and gives the whiskey depth and complexity. As with all bottlings in the Willett Family Estate series, no chill filtration or colouring agents are used. Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold with warm copper reflections.

Nose: Expressive with aromas of black pepper, toasted oak, cinnamon, mint and herbal spice. In addition, fine sweetness of vanilla, honey and caramel.

Flavour: Full-bodied, powerful and dry with notes of rye bread, nutmeg, dark toffee, aniseed and light tobacco. The high rye content adds depth and texture.

Finish: Langs, spicy and lingering with oak, baking spices and an elegant, peppery spiciness.
