Espolón Tequila Reposado 100% Puro Agave is a high-quality tequila produced in Mexico and distilled from 100% blue Weber agave. With an alcohol content of 40% vol. and a 0.7-litre bottle, this reposado represents the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The Espolón brand, which is produced at the renowned Destilería San Nicolás in the Highlands of Jalisco, is known for its exceptional quality and ornate bottle designs inspired by Mexican culture.

The term reposado means that this tequila is matured for at least two months in American oak barrels. During this time, it develops a wonderful depth and complexity without losing the fresh, natural sweetness of the agave. The barrel ageing gives it a golden colour, soft vanilla notes and a fine spiciness that makes it particularly pleasant to drink.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm, golden straw yellow with light amber reflections.

Nose: Aromatic and full with sweet notes of cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and a hint of spicy oak. Subtle notes of dried fruit and light cinnamon spice round off the bouquet.

Flavour: Soft and full-bodied with a harmonious blend of sweet agave, fine toffee and gentle vanilla notes from the barrel ageing. A subtle spice of white pepper and cinnamon gives the tequila additional depth.

Finish: Long-lasting and slightly spicy with nuances of toasted oak, honey and a gentle caramel sweetness.

Espolón Tequila Reposado is ideal for Purist enjoyment - ideally at room temperature or slightly chilled to bring out its fine flavours to the full. Alternatively, it can also be used as a base for sophisticated cocktails. It harmonises particularly well in a classic Margarita Reposado, a Tequila Old Fashioned or a Paloma with grapefruit lemonade and lime. As an accompaniment to food, it goes wonderfully with grilled meat, spicy tacos or dark chocolate. An outstanding tequila for connoisseurs and gourmets!
