Collection: Citadelle Gin

With Citadelle Gin, Maison Ferrand presents one of the defining representatives of modern craft gin. Since its introduction in 1996, Citadelle has been considered one of the first craft gins worldwide and a pioneer of French gin. Citadelle is produced at Château de Bonbonnet in Ars, near Cognac. There, the team combines traditional distilling craftsmanship with great attention to detail. The base is a fine wheat distillate, which is distilled in copper pot stills with a total of 19 carefully selected botanicals. Juniper is at the heart of this, complemented by citrus, floral and spicy notes. Particularly characteristic is the patented process of progressive infusion, where each ingredient is macerated individually to optimally bring out its flavors.

Gin lovers can discover the distillery, learn more about its production, and taste the various bottlings. The visit takes guests through the distillery, the estate, and the brand's history, impressively showcasing how craftsmanship, terroir, and the French way of life come together in a gin. The Visitor Center was honored at the World Drinks Awards 2025 as "Best Visitor Attraction in the World 2025." This particularly recognized the quality of the visitor experience, the presentation of the distillery, and the combination of craftsmanship, terroir, and the brand world.
