The Glenkinchie 12 Years Old is an exceptionally mild and elegant single malt Scotch whisky from the Scottish Lowlands. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., it impresses with its light, floral flavour and gentle sweetness, making it a perfect introduction to the world of Scotch whisky. It is distilled at the historic Glenkinchie Distillery, around 25 kilometres from Edinburgh, and is one of the few remaining Lowland distilleries in Scotland.

After 12 years of maturation in oak casks, this whisky develops a harmonious flavour profile with notes of malt, honey and fresh herbs. Its mild structure and velvety character make it particularly accessible and pleasant to drink - both neat and with a few drops of water to release further subtle flavours.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Fresh, floral and slightly sweet with notes of honey, malt, green apples and a hint of vanilla.

Flavour: Smooth and round with aromas of sweet malt, lemon peel, heather, honey and a hint of spice.

Finish: Medium length, dry with subtle oak and herbal notes.

The Glenkinchie 12 Years Old is an ideal aperitif whisky that can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water. In culinary terms, it harmonises particularly well with mild cheese, smoked fish or dark chocolate. It also unfolds its elegant flavour in a special way in combination with fine desserts such as honey cream or lemon tart.
