Nonino Grappa Riserva 8 Years Old is an exclusive, aged grappa from Italy, with an alcohol content of 43 per cent, supplied in a 0.7-litre bottle complete with a gift box. For this special Grappa Riserva, the long-established Distilleria Nonino uses only fresh, soft and carefully selected pomace from various grape varieties. Following anaerobic fermentation without additives in stainless-steel tanks, the pomace is distilled immediately to prevent unwanted secondary fermentation and to optimally preserve the varietal aromas. The 100% artisanal, batch distillation takes place slowly in the copper steam stills further developed by Benito Nonino, with the heads and tails consistently separated. This labour-intensive process preserves the delicate organoleptic characteristics of the grapes to a remarkable degree.


After distillation, the grappa is first left to rest for six to twelve months in stainless-steel tanks, before the subsequent natural ageing process begins, lasting over eight years in barriques and small wooden casks. The casks are stored in the Nonino family’s own, customs-sealed ageing cellars. No colouring agents are used whatsoever, so the colour is derived exclusively from the long barrel ageing. Production is strictly limited and depends on the respective grape harvest. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in an artistically designed black glass bottle with a diamond-cut finish and a silver-plated chain. This exceptional presentation underscores the exclusive character of this Grappa Riserva, which combines elegance, craftsmanship and Italian distilling culture at the very highest level.

Colour: Warm amber.

Nose: Elegant, with vanilla, dried fruit, delicate spices, toasted nuts and subtle woody notes.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied with ripe fruit, vanilla, caramel, fine spices, oak and harmonious depth.

Finish: Long-lasting, elegant and well-balanced with delicate toasted aromas, spices and a pleasant hint of oak.

Nonino Grappa Riserva 8 Years Old should be served at room temperature in a large balloon glass or grappa glass to allow its complex aromas to unfold fully. It pairs superbly with dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), hazelnut or almond biscuits, cantuccini, tiramisu, crème brûlée, panettone, mature Parmesan, pecorino, walnuts or dried figs.
